Jim entered the real estate business in 1973 after graduating from the University of Arkansas. He spent the first six years of his professional career working in Little Rock as an appraiser and obtained the commercial real estate appraisal MAI designation in 1980. In March of 1980, Jim moved into the commercial real estate brokerage business and formed his own commercial real estate company in 1990. He continues to lead Irwin Partners, a commercial brokerage, development, and investment real estate firm with offices in Little Rock and Fayetteville, Arkansas. Jim serves national, regional and local clients in acquisitions, dispositions, evaluations, counseling, restructuring, development and leasing services. He has handled transactions in the states of Arkansas, Mississippi and Louisiana. Jim was awarded the Counselors of Real Estate (CRE) designation in 2000. He served as President for the Arkansas Chapter of the Appraisal Institute in 1997 and is currently serving again as President for 2009.
Ron has over 42 years of real estate development, brokerage, and advisor experience. Ron has been involved in over $250 million in development and project management transactions including corporate offices for Dillards Department Stores, Acxiom Corporation, and the Arkansas Realtors Association, as well as the development of the Morgan Keegan Building, Winrock International Headquarters Building and Metropolitan Bank Plaza. He has also been involved in over $290 million in brokerage and leasing transactions. He has an extensive background in medical and office complex development. Ron is a past Chairman of the Little Rock Planning Commission.
Jeff Yates joined Irwin Partners in 2006 as a full partner in the firm. His career in commercial real estate began in 1994 and has focused on retail real estate with an emphasis on leasing and investment sales. Jeff's career also includes experience and expertise in office leasing, office brokerage, property management and asset management. He is actively involved in the industry including ICSC, USGBC & BOMA and in the community serving on the Little Rock Planning Commission as Chairman for 2010 and on the Boards of Directors of the Little Rock Realtors Association, Executive Networking Organization and Habitat for Humanity of Pulaski County. Jeff's education includes a Bachelor's Degree in finance and real estate.
Ruth joined Irwin Partners in 1999 and has over 30 years of real estate and accounting experience and serves as the Executive Broker for the firm. Her expertise is leadership and development, coordination and adherence of policy and procedure in sustaining the performance and integrity of the firm. Her experience enables her to assist the brokerage team from the initial listing to the final closing activities.
Tom is a graduate of the University of Arkansas and is based in Fayetteville in Northwest Arkansas. He has 35 years of experience throughout the region in real estate appraisal, with licenses in both Arkansas and Missouri. He is a former District Three Vice President and Board Member of the Arkansas Realtors Association. He is also a former President of the Ozark Mountain Chapter of The Appraisal Institute. Tom was awarded the MAI designation from the Appraisal Institute in 1988, and the CRE designation from the Counselors of Real Estate in 2008.
We at Irwin Partners were saddened by the loss of our beloved partner and friend, Claude, on February 11, 2010. He will be dearly missed.
Claude, a retired partner of Goldman Sachs, previously served the firm as a General Partner from 1981 to 1988, and a Limited Partner and Senior Consultant from 1988 to 1999. He also served as Senior Vice President in Prudential Insurance Company real estate investment department and as director of several of Prudentials subsidiaries. He was a former Chairman of both the Urban Land Institute and Rockefeller Center Properties. Claude served Wharton, Harvard, SMU, Wisconsin and New York Universities as a guest lecturer on the subject of income producing real estate investment, development and management. He was an Honorary Member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) - one of the most respected and high profile global standards and membership organizations for professionals involved in land, property, construction and environmental issues.
